FF25

FF25 will focus on accelerating the aligned goals of the industry’s stakeholders.

Win-win for everyone

For too long, the relationships between clients, unions and the construction industry have been marked by tension and a lack of trust, often resulting in a zero-sum game where one side’s gain comes at the expense of the others. This dynamic has led to inefficiency, mistrust and missed opportunities. However, we have the chance to change this narrative. By rethinking how stakeholders collaborate, we can transform the construction industry into a win-win environment for everyone involved.

As the construction industry’s largest client, the government seeks to ensure value for taxpayer money by completing projects on time and within budget. Meanwhile, workers demand safe, secure jobs with fair pay and good conditions, while contractors are focused on achieving a reasonable return on investment. These goals may seem conflicting, but they can complement each other. The discussions from FF24 are shaping Australia’s first National Construction Strategy (NCS), marking the beginning of this journey.

Now is the time to unite and focus on shared objectives—like improving industry culture and increasing productivity—where everyone can thrive.

The agenda for FF25 will be released in early 2025.

Leaders’ roundtables will be held the day before the event, ensuring key insights are shared and discussed with everyone at FF25.
