From Me to We: FF25 post-event report released

On 6 August, more than 550 representatives from across government, industry, unions and academia came together at Foundations and Frontiers 2025 (FF25) in Brisbane. The theme ‘From Me to We’ focused on one urgent challenge: lifting productivity in construction.

The conversations were candid and the message was clear: the solutions are known, but the time for siloed efforts is over. Real change will only come when we act as Team Construction.

Highlights of the forum include:

A Leaders’ Exchange with 120 senior decision-makers that zeroed in on opportunities to cut delivery and bidding costs and create greater flexibility in work practices.
Industry-wide recognition of the need for harmonisation and standardisation, financial stability, earlier engagement, enduring innovation and a skills pipeline matched to demand.
A call for bravery—because meaningful change requires trust and a willingness to do things differently.

The FF25 Post-Event Report, Playing as one team – From Me to We, captures the insights and priorities that emerged. It also sets out how ACA will work with government, unions and industry leaders to translate these conversations into reforms that deliver measurable results.

Session recordings will also be available on the website soon.

As one FF25 participant summed it up: “We know the plays. Now it’s time to run them—together.”
