Papers
We invite all stakeholders to engage with the questions in the discussion paper and help shape the future of Australia’s construction industry at #FF24.
Defining good… and how to achieve it
This paper is a conversation thought starter. It provides a high-level summary of the importance of defining good and agreeing on how to achieve it.
Future Workforce
If the construction industry is to survive and thrive, we need to find ways to attract more people into the industry, keep them in the industry for longer and deliver more projects with them when they are working – but how?
Financial sustainability
While this industry generates a good return for the economy, its own return on investment is poor. Construction companies would currently get a better return leaving their money in the bank! So, why is the financial sustainability of the construction sector important?
Data-rich future
Construction projects create immense amounts of data but use very little of it. This failure to leverage data is one of the reasons why the construction industry is stuck in the past and productivity is now worse than it was thirty years ago.
