The Australian Constructors Association is proud to support The Tradie Health Institute.
The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation, through its Tradie Health Institute initiative, exists to help people live healthier for longer.
With an initial focus on occupational lung disease – specifically the early detection and treatment of silicosis and lung fibrosis – researchers supported by the Tradie Health Institute initiative are undertaking Australian-first work to better identify and slow the progression of these devastating conditions.
While traditional approaches have focused on prevention, rehabilitation and disease management, the Tradie Health Institute initiative is driving a shift toward earlier detection, deeper understanding, and innovative treatment trials. This includes the use of advanced, first-of-its-kind diagnostic equipment in Australia and dedicated research support to explore new ways to halt or slow disease progression.
Thanks to the support of partners and the community, researchers are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible – laying the groundwork for breakthroughs that will benefit workers today and protect future generations.
Supported by The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation, this research leverages the expertise of The Prince Charles Hospital, renowned as a national leader in lung health and home to one of Australia’s largest cardiothoracic units.
